It's unfortunate they were born there.

I wake up in the morning to my alarm clock

It goes BEEP BEEP BEEP

Wakes me right out of my sleep.

Somewhere across the world a woman just like me Same complexion, same height, even same size feet

She wakes up in the morning to the sound of gunfire

To the sound of bullets blazing and babies crying She fights for her life before she even gets her morning coffee,

Oh, my morning coffee,

Us Americans can't even think before getting our morning coffee.

Then I brush my teeth

Leaving the water running

Wash my face

The water's still running

And I take a pee

While the water is still running,

Running

Little Suzy is running

Little Suzy lives across the sea

There's no water for her to drink

No water for her teeth

No water for her face

She can't pee and leave the water running

There's no good water left to be running

It's all dirty and ain't that something?

Next, I put on my clothes

I have so many that it's hard

It's hard for me to pick what to wear.

Should I wear the pink one or the blue? Is this too much? Too Little? Maybe I should just go for the jeans,

A dress is too much for a morning supper.

Somewhere across the lands

There's a woman who can't command what she wears.

She has no say, she has no choice

She has no power, she has no voice

She can't even sing

She can't even dance

If she dares to leave the house without a man

She's struck down by a man

A man with a plan to disband any woman that speaks without his command.

She has cover her body, her whole body, barely can see her eyes

Can't hear her muffled cries

Her spirit slowly dies

At that morning supper I sit with my family and my friends

We say a prayer over our food, blessed with grace

Uncle Sam tells me how he's tired of the lady at the store

She keeps trying to get me to donate

He says,

She keeps distracting me from my things

He says

She says

Nobody cares what Little Tommy says

What he says about not getting food for morning supper

There's no food for him but no one cares

Everyone just passes him by

Doesn't give him the time of day.

And by this time an hour has passed by

The day will continue but so far

I could name about 100 things

I get to do everyday

Mild inconveniences someone would die to have

Things that everyone should have

But no one cares, my bad

Across the world, not your problem

They're unlucky, so screw em

America, America, the great.

But then someday

Hopefully no day

But maybe one day

When you get awoken from your slumber

To the death of your beloved mother

From the bullets in the ongoing war

For over two years.

Or maybe when you try to brush your teeth

But dirt from people's feet is now on your teeth

You scream, too bad

The water is all you have

Because there's no food

No food to eat and after a few weeks

You'll be weak but if there's no water

A few days is all it will take

For you to go into a deep endless sleep.

Or maybe when you try to talk,

try to sing, to move, to leave,

to wear a different shade of blue

Maybe when you're hit

Beaten until your bruises match

That shade of blue

Maybe, just maybe then you'll understand

The struggles of other humans just like you.

But you were born here.

And they were born there.

You shake your head

You don't care.

It's unfortunate they were born there.

You will never care.
